I tricked you… There is no donations page.

Now, open your ears and hear this truth.

You cannot simply give me (or someone else) a couple bucks and expect to “receive God’s blessing”.

The personal blessing of helping others because you desire to do good works does not stem from you blindly giving a portion of your money to some corporate ministry via the internet, radio or television in hopes that their ministry will do good works on your behalf

No sir, no ma’am. It is your duty as a Christian to go out into the world and do good unto others.

My contribution of good works rests on my shoulders, not yours. Likewise brothers and sisters, the treasure you store up for yourself (Matthew 6:20) is a responsibility that rests on your shoulders. Not mine, and not your favorite televangelist.

False teachers love the appearance of godliness. They will go to great lengths to show you all the good works being done in their global ministries. They will tell you that if you contribute to their mission, you will receive God’s blessings… as if your responsibility of helping others belongs to them. These shameless and boastful actors have drifted far from Christ’s teachings while simultaneously lining their own pockets.

“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.” (Matthew 6:2; NIV)

If you find a ministry that is performing good works and you want to join their mission, then you should certainly do that. But, for the love of Christ, stop giving money to preachers who are shamelessly begging for it and boasting about all their so-called “good works”.

If you desire to donate monetary contributions to an honest gathering of believers who are producing good fruit, then by all means – donate. There is nothing wrong with that. But do not donate only because the preacher or “the church” instructs you to feel compelled to do so.

Beware of preachers who require your donations as some form of Church Doctrine. (See chapterWho Forgot the Second Zero) And, beware of those who would guilt trip you into helping their ministries “stay on the air”.

The moment you hear a televangelist say, “Our ministry is broadcast worldwide. Your contribution will help spread the Gospel message to the ends of the Earth.” Change the channel… avoid such preachers. They are lairs and devils spreading a pop-culture Christ (for profit) across the airwaves.

The point is, I am not asking for nor will I ever ask for your donation.

If your desire is to do good works by helping the poor and needy; and to preach the Gospel of Salvation in Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth… then by God in heaven, you go out and get started.
