Deception and Original Sin

In the ever-reaching infinity of Gods being, we can see, there exists a will to create. But this creation did not come without consequences, for our Creator God has given free will to both man and angel.

We are told in the scriptures Angels were created first (Job 38:4-7). The “morning stars” and the “sons of God” shouted for joy when the foundations of the earth were laid. Clearly, this is indicating angels existed before the formation of man. At some point, it was decided… man would be created for the purpose of populating the earth (Gen 1:27-28).

We then see the story of the Garden of Eden where Satan is introduced as the deceiver. The Eden account explains the nature of how Satan became the cause of original sin wherever sin is manifest – In heaven (Rev 12), or on earth (2 Cor 4:4).

Among the most quoted verses in the bible is the introduction to the sermon
on the mount of olives regarding end times prophecy (Matt 24, Mark 13, Luke 21).

“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”

The Lord replied by giving His disciples a stark warning which has echoed
throughout the generations “take heed that no man deceive you” (Matt 24:4).

In every way imaginable, Satan has sought to deceive mankind into believing that which is not true. With fake science (1 Tim 6:20), he introduces a creation where the God of Creation is not relevant – the big bang and evolution. With many religions, he has introduced the concept that there are multiple ways to heaven. And by using the name of Christ and Christianity, he has deceived a great multitude into seeking after a false Christ. Hence, the multitude of “Christian” doctrines deceiving the masses.

Every measure of sin dating from creation to this very day is the product of Satan who is intent on perverting the Word of God (2 Cor 11:13-15, Gal 1:8-9), the Lord’s Creation (2 Pet 3:1-7, Jhn 1), and turning the heart of man and angel away from their Creator (Gen 3, Job 1:11-13, Rev 12).

The original rebel, Satan, is able to accomplish this task by employing his dark art of deception.

“Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 Jhn 3:7-8)

This sin which is “from the beginning” (Gen 3:4-5) is first, rebellion (denying the will of the Father), and then deception (causing others to deny the will of the Father, believing a lie, and rejecting the testimony of our Creator, Jesus Christ who teaches us to love God, and love one another).

… … …

The Law of Man

One of the greatest deceptions Satan has wrought in this creation is attributed to mankind being his own judge, i.e. the Law of man, everywhere it has manifest throughout time. If one seeks to judge a man by mankind’s standards, one is denying the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Man seeks to judge others in accordance with the laws created by man. But Christ and his saints (which were killed for their faith – Rev 20) will judge the heart of man which is hidden. For all things hidden will be brought to light (Luk 12:2-3).

… … …

We are not able to cast judgement on others, or ourselves, based on our own understanding (Pro 3:5). Satan has always deceived mankind into believing we are somehow capable of judging what is right and wrong for ourselves. That is exactly the deception dealt to Eve in Eden. Satan convinced Eve into believing that if she started making choices for herself, she would “become like God” (Gen 3:5). But this is not so.

“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts”. (Pro 21:2).

… … …

And so it has become with every man who denies Christ. He removes himself from the rebirth and renewal by the Holy spirit. He believes not in the nature of original sin and therefore considers himself to be free from sin – just, in his own eyes.

“Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them”. (Eph 5:6-7)

… … …

Christian Doctrines

It is a shame to us all to acknowledge this deception is not limited to the un-believer. We find many passages referring to those who proclaim the name of Jesus Christ, yet their hearts have been far removed from the true Gospel.

“Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men”. (Isa 29:13)

“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me”. (Mat 15:8)

This has come to be a sad, sobering reality in our generation. Many and most all denominations speaking in the name of Christ have given way to a doctrine of their own practicing, and a false Gospel in the name of Christ.
